FLOW, a film about the global water crisis

Here is a link to a trailer on a film about water that will hit theaters this fall (it gave me chills).  I think it will create a huge stir (or ripple if you will).  Who owns water?

Clean Water Day at Springfield Cardinals Stadium

Springfield Cardinals and Watershed Committee of the Ozarks are promoting water education and conservation at the home-game on Monday August 25th game starts at 7:10pm.

Mega Volunteer Event

JOIN US!!! 

Mega Volunteer Event at the Watershed Center 8:30 a.m. to noon, September 20.  FREE LUNCH following! 

The Greater Ozarks Audubon Society has received a grant from the National Audubon Society to help with volunteer projects in our community.  Our local chapter has chosen the Watershed Center for the kickoff project!  We hope to have the largest volunteer event ever held at the Watershed Center, with several teams of volunteers directed to multiple projects.  The Missouri Master Naturalists, Ozark Greenways, Environmental Advisory Board, Choose Environmental Excellence, and several other organizations will partner with us to make the event a huge success!

Bicycle Design Contest Winner

Congratulations to Kellie Herman of Springfield for her winning entry in the Watershed Center bicycle rack design contest.

Kellie’s conceptual design was chosen out of more than a dozen entries that were submitted in May. The Watershed Committee hosted the contest at the 2008 Arts Festival where science and art were brought together for a unique educational experience.

Thanks to all who participated in the contest!!!
