Shaping Our Water Future-A Regional Planning Conference

September 17th & 18th, 2009

Doubletree Hotel 2431 N. Glenstone Springfield, MO

This two-day conference will provide a forum for discussion of pressing water issues-including water quality, water supply/availability and efficient use of water (conservation)-in southwest Missouri, northwest Arkansas, northeast Oklahoma and southeast Kansas.

The event is open to participants from all areas concerned with water issues, including public, private, nonprofit, and government representatives. Technical and political issues related to water supply, water quality and conservation will be discussed and the past, present, and future of water is considered.

EPA Water Quality Video Contest

In March 2009 EPA’s Office of Wetlands, Oceans and Watersheds launched a Water Quality Video Contest to inspire environmental stewardship and educate the public on ways individuals can improve water quality in their community. They received over 250 video submissions. Check out the winners and lots of cool water quality videos at http://www.epa.gov/owow/videocontest.html#honmen
